Lindelwa Wessels is Samkelisiwe Lindelwa Cecilia Wessels, 20 year old Supply chain & logistics student and now businesswoman from Ermelo Mpumalanga, who is now currently residing in the city of gold which is Johannesburg.
Starting my own Fragrance line wasn’t something that I woke up one day & decided to do, I’ve always dreamt of having my own scent or let me say perfume, but I was like why don’t I go bigger and better like starting my own line, like the likes of Kim Kardashian and show younger people like me that’s it’s possible. I’ve been planning and working on this for 2 years and finally it’s happening.
LW FRAGRANCE is a proudly South African black female owned company, They specialise in affordable luxury perfumes.
"Our line comes in 4 exotic scents so far which is Jasmine, Black Pearl, Enchanted & THE TUX. The Inspiration behind LW FRAGRANCE is my entrepreneurial spirit. There are also successful people whom I admired in my lifetime, being my Aunt, my late father’s elder sister she’s an entrepreneur herself, and my mother’s obsession for perfumes is my inspiration behind LW FRAGRANCE,"
She shares that she chose 'LW' because it stands for Lindelwa Wessels, Lindelwa being her middle & favourite name that she was given by her grandmother.
"This name fits with my brand because the brand is me & I’m the brand,"
"The process of making FRAGRANCES isn’t as hard as people think it might be, I for one I did research obviously online asking Google which type scents do people buy the most & which are most rated. I once took it to my instagram stories to find out from my followers what type of perfumes, colognes do they use. I then took all of their answers went to my suppliers & began with the whole process & now it’s finally done I hope they’ll love the products as much as I enjoyed the process of making them"
She shared that the future plans she has for LW FRAGRANCE are bigger than her reality. "I want LW FRAGRANCE to be on the FORBES List one day & I want it to be known as “THE HOUSE OF LW FRAGRANCE” like your top designers like the house of Gucci, Hermes & so forth. I plan to have other products not only perfume, but you have to
wait & see for the near future"
When asked for a word of advice for those who look up to her she said, " I’m not good with advice but I’d say fear nothing, if you want to do it grab it with both of your hands take it and go with it. Nothing is impossible,"
Wessels is proof that dreams are attainable.
